worst combination

Believe in me, shortcake + stawberry is the worst combination you can get for icecream, even in Cold Stone.

Today, after one hour's hard work in Gym, I couldn't resist the temptation of dropping by Cold stone again... thinking of alternative to coffee flavor, I decided to try stawberry shortcake one, because the same one the woman before me just ordered really attracted me... just think about the color - tender lemon yellow of the cake, snowwhite of the cream, and dropping red... all mixed together with nice whirls ...

so I got one, and couldn't resist the sales girl's warm suggestion: only 40cents more, you'll get a "love it" size, it's much better!"... well, Friday afternoon, why not?

The first bite was not bad, sweet and smooth, as usual... then my tongue started to taste the granular cake... it's hard to describe, the feeling of bringing up all goosebumps on your cheeks. It certainly reminded me of the unpleasant memoris of the cold mornings of elementary scool, I was forced to eat a boiled egg put in plain rice soup (Pao4 Fan4, a typical Shanghai breakfast, like Zhou1), the yolk partly disolved in the sticky hot soup, and I had to hold my breathe and drink it up... actually I would admit the egg-rice-soup was better given some salted vegetable :P

But I still continued to finish it up... imagine that, all the worst things together, icecream, cake... and even worst taste! Having good icecream makes you feel happily guilty, then having bad ones... is really endless regret >_< to make up for some of the bad feelings, I decided to give myself punishement... so I came to this SEM lab to work the Friday night off!

I'll resume my diet from tomorrow!!!

Like it, Love it, or Gotta have it

在很累的时候你会想吃什么呢？我会尽力大声笑，喝热热的汤，或者，腐败一点，跳进脑子的就是冰激凌啦，whole fat的，加巧克力的，各种果仁纷呈的。

又是周五了，连想到去吃饭都觉得累，就中途决定叫馥菱drop 我在cold stone，去挑一个向往已久的大大的cone当晚餐，边吃边慢慢走回实验室。

coffee lover's choice，滑润的咖啡口味冰激凌，加heath bar 和roasted almond剁啊剁，浇上heath 糖浆，装进酥而脆的蛋卷。嗯，就是它了。捧起大蛋卷，小心地咬下一口边，立刻有精神振奋起来的感觉。go to toilet, diet!

cold stone 是fat和calorie含量最高的冰激凌，却也因此口感细致之极，又冰又绵，舌尖一舔，让你深吸一口气的甜。跟hotplay对水果型淡口味冰激凌的偏爱不同，我无法抵制“真正的”冰激凌的诱惑。那种有货有料、肆意张扬的，不带一些罪恶感的冰激凌，真正安慰人的冰激凌。咖啡或巧克力的，加上果仁，是沙漠里的金矿。要是水果的，就要sorbet吧，能吃出真正水果的颗颗粒粒质感来的。old town一家叫Totte Gelati 的意大利小店，Rasberry sorbet + Rum 的，就很好吃，有一种奇异的香，和那种质感留在舌苔上，吃完好久都不散。

冰激凌加咖啡是完美组合，经推荐给很多人，我们都一致认定Starbucks出的各类咖啡口味冰激凌是之中楚翘，原因我想也是因为，有“真正的”咖啡吧。真的，他们家哪怕“Light”口味的也好吃。而像“31”的"low fat espresso"吃起来就是粗糙无味的沙冰的口感了。谢天谢地，那是他们出的唯一的一种"low fat"口味。

捧一个cold stone在手上，边走边咬，脑子里回味吃过的各类冰激凌，一一打分，真是一件无比甜蜜的事情。化了的汁余情脉脉地从被咬掉的蛋筒的缺口流出来，两滴在T-shirt上，数滴在指尖徘徊，是恰到好处的奢侈感觉。是那首歌里唱的吧？起风了，冰激凌在流泪。书店？不看。衣服店？byebye. 就这样一鼓作气精神振奋地走到了学校。

P.S.: cold stone对他们的冰激凌各size有别出心裁的叫法，不同于"small, medium, large" , 他们叫“like it, love it, gotta have it" ，有点confusing, 所以 " I love it, and gotta have it, but thanks, just give me a like it size." like it, 刚刚好承受的doze吧，谁说的，nowadays "love" is used too easily.
