4.14 Black Day - let's go Zha2 Jiang4 Mian4

I was just told that tomorrow it's a holiday! - of course an alternative one - Black Day for singles!!!

in contrast with 2/14 Valentine's Day, this 4/14 is celebrated in Korea as Black Day. assumably it's for singles and not that such a romantic and happy one^_^

the counter part of chocolate as in Valentine's Day is Zha2 Jiang4 Mian4- yeah, this down-to-the-earth Chinese noodle, plain, simple, but good for daily life. so the tradition of Black Day is that single friends around will hang out together to eat Zha2 Jiang4 Mian4. a little bit A~Q~, but a fun tradition, isn't it?

as told by my Korean friends, it seems that they have lots of weird but fun traditions produced by young generations. like on the first snowing day of every winter, the lovers will have their one secret dating place, without appointment, they will meet there when the snow starts. if one forgets it or fails arriving there at the very first moment, it will be viewed as a betray to their love. it's a beautiful tradition... but probably my friend just made it out:P

anyway, tomorrow I won't even be able to hang out with singles for zha jiang mian:( my significant appointment is... with my dentist!!!!
